Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Louisville, KY.

What is Bill Green Studios?

When I found out that was already spoken for, I added “Studios” to the end of it and, voila, BGS was born. The gist of it is I am a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I began working in the advertising industry early on and stuck around for over 13 years before going on my own in 2004.

What do you design?

  • Logos
  • Branding
  • Web Sites
  • Packaging (Albums, Books, DVDs, Food, Beverage, etc)
  • Posters
  • Clothing
  • Cleared Art for Film & TV
  • Stationary (Business Cards, Letterhead, Envelopes, Postcards, etc)
  • Advertising
  • Point-of-sale

In fact, I can’t really think of anything I don’t design.

I have a pretty clear idea of what I want,

can you make it happen?

Usually. But sometimes, well. Look, ideas are plentiful, from both sides of the table, but few of them can be executed well. At least by me. And I’m fine with that. I know my strengths and limitations and sticking with them has done pretty well for me so far. Even if it means losing work. Quality over quantity. Sometimes an idea makes complete sense on paper but, in the end, if it can’t be executed so that it’s visually appealing, I will try to offer up alternative concepts that I feel packs a visual karate chop to the neck!

I need a primo design and I need it now!

Is that going to be expensive?

Good. Cheap. Fast. Pick two. My basic rule of thumb.

How much do you charge for a logo?

I get this a lot and it’s a completely fair question. But there’s no one answer. It’s like asking “How much does a car cost?”. It all depends on what your needs are and what you want to spend. I can tailor my design fee and services to fit almost any budget. Tell me what you want to spend and I’ll tell you what I can do for you.
